Behind the Forge: How We Prepare Wholesale Orders for Our Partners
At AncientSmithy, every axe, hammer, and tool we forge carries more than craftsmanship – it carries trust. And when it comes to fulfilling large orders for our beloved B2B partners, we treat every single piece as a reflection of our shared values: quality, consistency, and reliability.
Step 1: Understanding the Vision
Every partnership begins with a conversation. Whether you're a gift shop, outdoor gear store, wedding planner, or military supply distributor, we take time to understand your needs – product type, quantity, engraving preferences, packaging, and timeline.
Step 2: Hand-Forging with Precision
Each item in your order is hand-forged by our experienced blacksmiths, ensuring authenticity and durability from the first to the last piece. Whether it's 10 engraved tomahawks or forged 200 hammers, we maintain the same level of attention to detail and rigorous quality control. Our team carefully aligns materials, performs precise blade hardening, and selects handles to ensure consistency across the entire batch.
In addition to forging, our artisans hand-carve decorative axe handles, adding character and uniqueness to each piece. We also apply professional-grade laser engraving – not just printed or painted designs, but deeply etched, permanent artwork on the steel surface that highlights the craftsmanship behind every product.
Step 3: Customization and Engraving
We know how important personalization is – especially for corporate gifting, team milestones, or groomsmen sets. That’s why we offer a range of custom engraving options: from Norse runes and military insignias to logos and messages. Every design is reviewed and precisely applied to ensure it looks sharp and lasts.
Step 4: Secure and Branded Packaging
A beautiful product deserves professional packaging. We take packaging seriously – especially for B2B orders. Each product is carefully placed in our branded boxes, designed to provide secure and stylish protection during transport. Before shipping, we apply an extra coat of oil to preserve the finish and quality of the item. For larger axes, we add an additional protective film to ensure maximum safety throughout delivery.
In our ongoing effort to reduce plastic use, we've recently upgraded our packaging design. Our new custom boxes now feature a product-shaped cutout that securely holds each item in place – minimizing movement during shipping without the need for plastic inserts. We also use paper tape instead of traditional plastic-based options. The result? Less plastic, same trusted protection, and a more sustainable delivery experience.
Step 5: Timely Shipping and Global Reach
From our workshop in Ukraine to warehouses across Europe and the U.S., we handle international logistics with care. We work with trusted carriers and always aim for fast, trackable, and damage-free delivery.
Depending on product availability and the location of our partner or end customer, we can ship directly from our European or U.S. warehouses. Each shipping case is considered individually, and whenever possible, we optimize the route to reduce costs and minimize taxes or import duties for the customer.
