Wenn Sie jedoch die Hammer-Stiel-Verbindung ölen und vorsichtig damit umgehen, indem Sie beispielsweise vermeiden, dass der Hammer auf den Stiel fällt, können Sie seine Lebensdauer verlängern. Schlagen Sie nicht mit dem Hammer auf harte Oberflächen, da der Kontakt von Metall auf Metall zu Dellen und möglicherweise gefährlichen Absplitterungen führen kann.
Wenn die Schlagfläche des Hammers im Laufe der Zeit Abnutzungserscheinungen zeigt, können Sie sein Aussehen mit einem Trizact-Gürtel und einem Puffer auffrischen. Dadurch bleibt es ordentlich und poliert.
